When did you open your shop and also when did you start stocking NB?
About three years ago we started our shop in Düsseldorf and with the start of our new concept (Afew Good Things) in July 2011 we also started to stock NB.
What/who inspired you to start retailing?
Before we opened our store we were already selling basketball shoes & limited trainers to good friends and our community. After a while it started to grow and we ended up opening our own store.
What made you pick high end street wear to form your concept around?
Our own passion for premium shoes and street wear. For us it made no sense to build a concept around stuff that we do not stand behind.
What is unique about your retail?
We don’t just use the location as a selling place but also for different events and exhibitions, so different people come together and socialize.
What has changed since you opened it?
We have put a bigger focus on limited and exclusive trainers over the last few years. With the start of the new Project we also wanted to give our store a more unique look, so we’ve combined a clean black and white interior with a green “glow in the dark” floor. Online we have also tried to keep everything very clean and put the focus on the products.
What is your perception of NB as a brand?
For us NB stands for quality and be creative/innovative without forgetting its roots.
If you were a NB shoe, which one would you be and why?
We really do love shoes but we wouldn’t want to be one ;-)
What do you like about Flimby made shoes?
These days it’s always something special that the shoes you are wearing were manufactured in Europe. And of course the quality.
What shoe do you wish NB would bring back?
NB should bring back the NB 300 and the NB 1500 Chianti with Red Mesh and the old Shape.
Do you have a favourite NB collaboration?
Our favourite collaborations are the NB x solebox ggb and the NB x 24 kilatis 1500 Miro.
What is your favourite current Flimby shoe?
At the moment we like the current colorways of the NB 1500.
